Print Options Shopify image
Follow these steps to add Print Options to your Shopify store. Setup runs automatically on install — there is nothing to copy, paste or configure.
  1. Install Print Options from the Shopify App Store. Approve the app when Shopify asks.
  2. The app opens on its Products page: every product in your store, and the options each one carries. Click Add options on the product you want to configure.
  3. Pick a template — Business Cards, Flyers, Stickers, Thesis Binding and more. It opens in the builder, already priced in your store’s currency.
    Templates are starting points, not fixed products. Rename choices, change prices, add or remove options — see Option sets.
  4. Adjust anything you like, then click Publish. Your product now has options.
  5. One-time theme step. The configurator renders through a theme block, so add it once:
    • Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize
    • Open the Default product template
    • Add block → Apps → Print Configurator, and place it above the buy buttons
    • Save
    The block only renders on products that have published options. Every other product keeps its normal add-to-cart, untouched.
  6. Visit that product on your storefront. The configurator is there, pricing live. Choose some options and add it to the cart — the price you see is recalculated on our servers before the item is added.

Currency and markets

Option prices are set in your store’s default currency. If you sell in several currencies through Shopify Markets, the customer’s presentment price is converted with Shopify’s own exchange rate at cart time — you only ever price the job once.

Troubleshooting

If the configurator doesn't appear on your product page:
  1. Check the options are published to that product. On Shopify, the Products page in the app shows which products carry options; on Wordpress, check the product's Print Options tab.
  2. Shopify only — check the theme block. Online Store → Themes → Customize → the product template → the Print Configurator block must be added once. Without it there is nothing to render.
  3. Make sure the product is purchasable. A product that is out of stock or unavailable will refuse the add to cart, whatever the options say.
