Print Options lets them specify and price the job — size, paper, finish, quantity, uploads.They solve different halves of a print order and work well together: a product can let a customer design the artwork and choose the stock it prints on. Neither requires the other.
No. The total in the configurator is a preview. When the item is added to the cart, the same pricing rules run again on our servers and the result is cryptographically signed — your store charges that verified price. A tampered price simply fails to add.
Your store’s default currency. If you sell in several currencies, the customer’s presentment price is converted at cart time with the platform’s own exchange rate — you price the job once.
Yes, and it’s the recommended way to work. Use Apply to more… on Shopify, or pick the same set in the Print Options tab on Wordpress. Editing the set updates every product using it.
The full specification: every answered option with your own labels, the resolved SKU, the quantity, the verified price, and the uploaded artwork reference — stored on the order line, not just in the customer’s email.

No. Uploads work without one. Filecheck adds validation and file facts — page counts, colour detection, preflight — which unlock per-page pricing and catch bad artwork early. See Artwork uploads.
It reverts immediately to your store’s normal add-to-cart, at its normal price. Other products sharing that option set are unaffected, and the set itself stays in your library.
On Shopify stores that are not on the Plus plan, a configured job is expanded into a bundle-style line at checkout. It is cosmetic — the price, the options and the order data are all correct.
