The customer’s language
Everything the configurator writes itself (Summary, Add to cart, Drop your file here or click to browse, validation messages, the tax lines) follows your store’s language. Your option names, choices and help text come from your option set, so write them in your store’s language.- Shopify
- WooCommerce
The configurator follows the storefront language, with nothing to set up.
It speaks English, Danish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch and
Romanian. Storefronts in other languages show English.
Prices in your store’s format
The configurator prints prices exactly as your store does, so the price in the summary matches the price in the cart.- Shopify uses your store’s currency formatting (Settings → General, under the store currency). A format the configurator doesn’t recognise falls back to the standard format for the customer’s language.
- WooCommerce uses your currency options (WooCommerce → Settings → General): currency symbol, its position, the number of decimals, and the thousand and decimal separators. A Romanian store prints 10,00 lei, just as its cart does.
A note under the price (WooCommerce)
The summary shows your WooCommerce price display suffix (WooCommerce → Settings → Tax → Price display suffix) under the total, such as incl. VAT. Placeholders like{price_including_tax} are left out. To use
different wording, or to hide the note, return your text (or an empty string)
from the papo_price_note filter.
Showing the tax in the summary
The summary can show how much of the price is tax: the total excluding tax, the tax and the total including tax, or the tax included in the total. It is a display only: your store still calculates tax at checkout from the customer’s address, exactly as before. What the customer sees depends on whether your prices include tax:
The tax is named in the customer’s language unless you give it a name:
VAT, MwSt., TVA, IVA, moms or btw. French summaries use Total
HT and Total TTC. The tax is rounded once and the other lines are derived
from it, so the figures always add up.

- WooCommerce
Open the theme editor, select the Print Configurator block, and find
the Tax settings:
Whether your prices include tax comes from Shopify’s own Taxes and
duties setting, so the summary can’t contradict your checkout.
