Today we are releasing a whole new product: Print Options, a free options and price builder made specifically for print stores. It is live now on Shopify and WordPress.
Print pricing is not “one product, one price.” A business card is not really one product; it is a matrix of stock, size, sides, lamination and quantity. A banner is priced by the square meter. A thesis gets priced per page, plus binding.
Store platforms were never designed for this. Variants explode into hundreds of combinations, apps choke on quantity breaks, and most shops eventually give up and put up a “request a quote” form. That form is where sales go to die.
We kept running into this with Print.App merchants. The Editor solves designing the product, but before a customer ever designs anything, they need to answer a simpler question: what will this cost me? So we built the missing piece.
And here is the thing we care most about: most product options apps are generic. They give you dropdowns and text fields and leave you to figure out the rest. Print Options is built for print from the ground up. It ships with print templates ready to go: Business Cards, Flyers, Stickers, Thesis Binding and more. Pick one, adjust the choices and prices to match your shop, and publish. You are not building a pricing engine from scratch; you are editing one that already understands print.
Live prices, verified server-side. Customers pick options and watch the price update as they click. Before anything is added to the cart, the price is recalculated on our servers, so nobody can tamper with what they pay.
Print-native pricing. Quantity breaks, per-page and per-area rates (per-m² banners, anyone?), setup fees and minimum orders. The pricing models print shops actually use.
Conditional options. Show lamination only when the stock supports it. Multi-select finishes. Options that make sense together.
Artwork upload built in. Customers can attach their print files with the order. If you use Filecheck, uploads are validated and fixed automatically before checkout. Files auto-delete after 30 days.
A visual builder, no code. Everything is configured visually from the app. On Shopify, installation is automatic; there are no keys to copy and no theme surgery beyond adding one block.
Print Options is one piece of the order flow, and each piece works standalone:
Use one, two, or all three. Together they remove every point of friction between “I want this printed” and a print-ready file in your queue.
Yes, free forever, on every platform it supports. We make our money on the Print.App Editor and Filecheck; Print Options makes both better.
Have an awesome week ahead, and see you on our Discord Channels😉
