they all take a cut of the sheet.
we charge for the file we render.
The DTF gang sheet category on the Shopify App Store has settled on one business model. Every dedicated app is free to install and then takes a percentage of the sale, somewhere between 3% and 5%. It is an easy model to say yes to, because the cost only starts once the money does.
It is also the model that charges you most exactly when you are doing best. Rendering a print file for a 120 inch sheet is the same work as rendering one for a 24 inch sheet. A percentage does not know that.
Published charging models, taken from each app's own listing.

Competitor figures are taken from their own App Store listings as of September 2026: Antigro listing on the Shopify App Store and Build a Gang Sheet listing on the Shopify App Store . Other apps in this category publish commissions between 3% and 4%. Percentages and caps change, so check the current listing before deciding. No feature claims are made about these apps here; read their listings for that.
Assuming a 5% app, which is what the two largest listings charge, and one print file per gang sheet ordered:
| Sheets a month | Average sheet | Your sales | A 5% app costs | Print.App costs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | $25 | $2,500 | $125 | Free |
| 250 | $30 | $7,500 | $375 | $15 |
| 500 | $30 | $15,000 | $750 | $40 |
| 1,000 | $35 | $35,000 | $1,750 | $90 |
Print.App: the first 100 print files each month are free, then $0.10 each. A 5% app: 5% of the sale value. One print file assumed per gang sheet ordered. Your own numbers will differ; the shape of the two lines will not.
The first row is the one worth sitting with. A shop finding its feet at 100 sheets a month pays $125 on a percentage app and nothing on Print.App, because 100 files a month are inside the free quota. The gap does not close as you grow, it widens.
Three honest ones.
We are not publishing a feature grid against these apps. Their listings change, and a comparison table that quietly goes out of date does more damage to our credibility than it ever does to theirs. Read their listings, read our documentation, and compare on what your shop actually needs.
Print.App is a full web-to-print editor that happens to include a gang sheet builder. The same install handles apparel with imprint areas, DTF sticker sheets, stationery with variable data, banners, calendars and photo products, with managed CMYK, Pantone and HKS spot colors, ICC soft proofing and vector PDF output.
If gang sheets are one of several things you sell, that is one app, one account and one bill rather than two. And the file that comes out the end is a real print file: transparent PDF sized to your film, text as vectors, every design placed from the customer's original upload at native resolution.
How they charge. The dedicated gang sheet apps are free to install and then take a percentage of each sale, between 3% and 5%. Print.App charges $0.10 for each print file it renders, after 100 free each month, with no subscription and no share of your revenue. The percentage grows with what you charge; the file fee does not.
Because free to install is not free to run. At 5% of a $30 gang sheet you pay $1.50 every time, which is fifteen times what the same file costs on Print.App. Free to install moves the cost from a fixed monthly line to a variable one that rises with your success.
Yes. If gang sheets are the only thing you sell and you want the narrowest possible setup, a single-purpose app is a shorter path. They also have a longer track record in this specific category than we do, with review histories going back to 2023 and 2024. Our gang sheet builder is new, even though Print.App is not.
We deliberately do not publish feature comparisons against them, because their listings change and an out-of-date claim about a competitor is worse than no claim. Read their listings, then read ours, and compare on what you actually need. What we will state is the charging model, because it is published and it is checkable.
It is not only a gang sheet builder. The same install gives you a full web-to-print editor for apparel, stickers, stationery, banners and photo products, with managed CMYK, ICC soft proofing and vector PDF output. If you sell anything besides gang sheets, that is one app instead of two.
They are each app's published charging model as of September 2026, taken from its own App Store listing, and every figure links to its source. App pricing changes, so check the listing before deciding.
