Transfers by size is the product most DTF shops sell alongside gang sheets: the customer uploads designs, gives each a print size and a copy count, and pays by area with a better rate the more they order. The shop does the nesting. This tutorial sets it up on WooCommerce. You need: the Print.App plugin and Print Options installed (WordPress installation, Print Options on WordPress), and Switch to new Editor on.
1

Create the design in Transfers-by-size mode

Designs → Create New Design → Gang Sheet. Title it DTF Transfers by Size and set Builder mode to Transfers by size (pay by print area). The billing increment and customer nesting settings hide; keep the film width and lengths, they still shape the sheet the shop prints.Under Pricing set Price target to po:quantity and Price display source to po:price. Save.
2

Create the product and assign the design

Add a simple WooCommerce product, DTF Transfers, and assign the design to it from the Print.App plugin’s product settings.
3

Build the option set

In Print Options start from the DTF Transfers by Size template:
  • a file field with Print.App as the provider;
  • a Film type choice with a Per area modifier in square inches and quantity tiers — up to 14 copies 0.055,upto490.055, up to 49 0.045, up to 99 0.040,upto2490.040, up to 249 0.035, then $0.030;
  • a Total copies quantity field with help text saying it is set by the designs;
  • a 2setupfeeanda2 setup fee and a 10 minimum.
Adjust the rates and Publish.
4

Show the widget

On the product page the plugin renders the Print Options widget with its own Add to cart. Hide WooCommerce’s quantity and cart button on this product so the widget’s is the only path.
5

Test it

Open the builder from the product page. Upload two designs; set the first to 4” × 4” with 10 copies and the second to 2” × 6” with 5 copies. The summary shows 15 copies and 220 sq in. Save & continue returns you to the product with Total copies at 15 and the price at $11.90 — 220 sq in at the 15-copy rate plus the setup fee.Change the first design to 14 copies and then 15 and watch the price drop at the break: that is the incentive working.
6

Find the print file

The order line lists the designs with their sizes and copies. The project’s print file already holds every copy packed onto the film, ready for the press — no nesting to do.

Notes

  • One order line carries the whole session, whatever the number of designs. The per-design breakdown is on the line for production.
  • The copy count is pushed into the quantity field automatically; if a customer edits it by hand the price will be wrong for the designs saved. The template’s help text says so; keep it.
