Print.App on Shopify now remembers your customers’ designs. A Save for Later button in the editor, a My saved designs section in the customer’s store account, and one-click re-ordering of anything they have ordered before. It is live on every Shopify store running Print.App today, and enabling it is a single toggle.
Personalised products have a kind of abandonment that normal carts don’t. A customer spends twenty minutes getting a wedding invite right, gets interrupted, and closes the tab — and until now, on Shopify, that work was gone. Save for Later keeps it. The design waits in their account, and Resume Design drops them back into the editor exactly where they stopped.
Re-ordering is the other half. Business cards run out. Labels run out. The products people personalise are very often the products they buy again — and until now, “again” meant rebuilding the design from scratch. Every design your customers order from here on appears in their account with a Duplicate Design for Re-order button: one click opens the editor with a fresh copy, ready to tweak or order as-is. The original stays untouched, so the file from their last order is always exactly what they approved.
In your Print.App dashboard settings, under Designer, turn on Enable Save for Later. That switches it on for every design in your store. If you would rather roll it out product by product, the same toggle exists per design in each design’s settings.
There is nothing to install and nothing to edit in your theme — if Print.App runs on your store, this already works. WordPress stores get the new store-wide switch too; previously Save for Later was per-design only.
Both of Shopify’s customer-account systems are supported. On classic accounts (what most themes use today), the section appears on your store’s account page automatically.
On Shopify’s new hosted customer accounts, there’s a one-time step in your admin: under Settings → Checkout → Customer accounts → Customize, add the Print.App “My designs” page — Shopify adds it to the account menu, right next to Orders. The full walkthrough is in the Saved Designs guide.
Nothing changes about how Print.App charges: no subscription, no commission, no per-order fee. Saved designs, resumed designs, and re-orders don’t cost you or your customers anything — you only ever pay for print file downloads, and your first 100 each month remain free.
