# Pricing

> Your first five kept designs are free. After that, $0.25 per design you keep, with three changes included. Drafts are always free.

You only pay for a design you **keep**. Planning directions, drafting,
trying again and redrawing a draft with your note cost nothing. A kept
design's three included changes are part of its price.

The panel always shows where you stand: how many free designs are left, and
the price under **Keep this** once they are used.

## How it is billed

Template Studio is billed with the rest of your Print.App usage, as
**Template Studio (AI Designer)** on your usage statement:

* **Print.App invoice:** one line with the number of paid designs kept in
  the billing period (free ones are not listed).
* **Shopify stores:** included in your Print.App usage charge, under the
  usage billing you approved in Shopify.

You can follow it under **Usage and Billing** in the admin.

> Keeping a design after your free five needs your billing in good
> standing. On Shopify, you also need to have approved Print.App usage
> billing. If either is missing, Template Studio says so when you click
> **Keep this**, and you can settle it on the **Usage and Billing** page.
> Your free designs are never blocked.

## Not charged

* A design whose finishing pass fails is not charged, and does not use up
  a free design.
* Drafts that fail, and drafts you never keep.
* Changes to a kept design (up to the three included).

## Fair use

Each store can start up to 20 briefs or redraws a day.
