# Tutorial: a Shopify gang sheet with Print Options

> Set up a 22" DTF gang sheet on Shopify, priced per foot with length tiers through Print Options, and place the first order — start to finish.

By the end you will have a product on which customers build a gang sheet,
see a live price per foot of film, and check out with the sheet attached
to the order. About twenty minutes.

**You need:** Print.App and Print Options installed on the store
([Shopify installation](/docs/platforms/shopify/installation),
[Print Options on Shopify](/docs/print-options/shopify)), and **Switch to new
Editor** on in the Print.App dashboard settings.

  <Step title="Create the design">
    In the Print.App dashboard go to **Designs → Create New Design →
    Gang Sheet**. Title it *22" DTF Gang Sheet*.

    Under **Film and billing** leave the defaults: 22" wide, 120" max,
    3" minimum, billed per inch. Under **Pricing** set **Price target**
    to `po:dimensions` and **Price display source** to `po:price`.
    Save.

  <Step title="Create the product">
    In Shopify add a product, *22" DTF Gang Sheet*, with one variant and
    a nominal price — Print Options will replace it. Keep inventory
    tracking off; a gang sheet is made to order.

  <Step title="Assign the design">
    In the Print.App app on Shopify, open the product and assign the
    design you created. The product page now shows the Print.App
    button.

  <Step title="Build the option set">
    Open the Print Options builder for the product and start from the
    **DTF Gang Sheet (22" film)** template. It has:

    * a **file** field with Print.App as the provider, so the designer
      is the way in;
    * a **Film type** choice, matte and glossy, each with a **Per
      length** modifier in feet and length tiers (up to 5 ft, up to
      20 ft, beyond);
    * a **quantity** stepper for repeat sheets;
    * a $3 setup fee and a $10 minimum.

    Change the rates to yours and **Publish**.

  <Step title="Place the theme block">
    In the theme editor, add the **Print Configurator** app block to
    the product template, inside the product information section
    right after the price, and remove the theme's own quantity and buy
    buttons — the widget's Add to cart is the only path. Set the file
    field's display to *producer* if you want to hide the drop zone
    and show only the designer button.

  <Step title="Test it">
    Open the product, click the Print.App button, upload three or four
    PNGs and set copies — 40, 30, 30, 25 makes a good test. Watch the
    sheet pack and *Length used* settle, then **Preview & Save**. Back
    on the product page the widget shows the film line, for example
    *Matte DTF film 13" — \$8.67*, plus the setup fee. Add to cart and
    check out.

  <Step title="Find the print file">
    Open the order in Shopify: the line carries the design link and the
    film properties. In the Print.App app's orders page download the
    project's PDF — one page, 22" × 13", transparent, every logo at
    full resolution.

## Variations

* **Bill per foot** rounds the used length up to whole feet — set it under
  Film and billing and the widget's tiers still apply.
* **Fixed sheet sizes** (22" × 24", 22" × 48"…): set **Bill per** to *Fixed
  sheet lengths*, list the sizes, and price the widget per sheet with a
  quantity-based modifier instead of per length.
* **Password-protected development store:** the storefront asks for the
  password; the product's *Preview* button in Shopify admin bypasses it
  for testing.
